The Fantasia Film Festival is at a critical crossroads. Once a proudly underground event, the genre film fest, which is winding down its 14th edition this week, is in the midst of a major adolescent growth spurt.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Pedestrians and bikes  can share city spaces like Parc Lafontaine as long as cyclists watch  their speed. The Plateau Mont-Royal borough has announced plans to  move the bike path on the west side of Parc Lafontaine out of the  park. Borough Mayor Luc Ferrandez says the eventual plan is to  extend the park to take over at least one lane of Parc La Fontaine  Ave., which will become a car-free "bike boulevard."
