Pick and choose

SEAMS NATURAL, a designer showroom on Greenways Road, R. A. Puram, is holding its annual sale at the C.P. Arts Centre, Eldams Road, Alwarpet, till July 19. The range on display includes salwar sets and coordinates like kurtis, tops and kurtas, besides Indo-Western outfits. The collection is wide and varied, encompassing kosa tussar from Maharashtra, khadi from Gandhigram, roghan and verek work from Rajasthan and ikkats from Orissa. The traditional weaves have been crafted to suit contemporary tastes in an imaginative way by designer Binu Jha.

The colour palette is bright and warm — from vibrant hues such as red, yellow and orange to pastels and earthy tones. The surface ornamentation is unique using techniques like gathering and pin tucks. Also embroidered motifs in sequins, zardosi and threadwork enhance the whole effect. What's more? All these come at a 50 per cent discount. For more details contact 24610629.
