Stunning bridal line

Madhu Kamath's bridal collection with beautiful embellishments is gorgeous. Her painstaking work over a garment results in a quality product in terms of design and finish.

WHAT ARE the essential elements of design? Purity of line, notion of innovation, a hint of individualism, a statement of trends and nuances of form, so feels Madhu Kamat of MK Label ensembles.

The designer has an absolute stunning range of bridal wear.

For Madhu designing high fashion garments is no strange coincidence but the culmination of 17 years of passionate involvement with the line in its entirety.

Her affair began with designing trousseaux for individuals and friends - a phase which gave her an insight into the quintessential nuances that the niche market searches for in fashion trends and her friends who were willing to experiment with and subsequently adopt.

Quality to begin with and quality to end with in fabric execution, stylisation, cut drapes and in embellishment and in every other aspect that would make the outfit stand out.

Using every experience that she had gained during her long and meaningful stint, Madhu now painstakingly labours over every little detail to deliver a design that not only meets the wearer's aesthetic sensibilities but also establishes her own brand's credentials.

Delving a little deeper into Madhu's work you are sure to find array of garments serving a dual purpose.

A lehenga has generous yards of a sari drape which can also be worn lavishly as a sari at some classy occasion.

Her art and skill stretches to zardozi, thread embroidery displayed with endless colours combined together.

However, Madhu has not forgotten to add the royal tone of pinks, reds from Rajasthan, the rich rust and gold, silver beaded work of the majestic Mughal times, or the subtle lush greens and eye catching yellows, oranges of eastern and northern India's sunset shades.

Her magnificent woven work in both light and heavy tones is displayed in all her creations.

The embroidery -be it bead work, crystal work zardozi including dabka, salma, buliyan to name a few, is looked into in detail.

She is in fact sensationalising the market with superb designs and matching production values.
