Findmypast.co.uk is a family history and genealogy website. Our offices are in London, England. We’re one of the leading suppliers of online family history, with an ever-growing collection of over 650 million family history records. We utilise the latest technology to bring your family’s past to life and make the process of tracing your family history easier and more enjoyable than ever.
Where it all began...
Our official launch was on 1 April 2003, when the first set of birth, marriage and death records for England and Wales were made available online. Previously these were only available offline on microfiche or in registry books, at a selected number of locations. This landmark achievement was recognised in 2007, when we won the Queen’s Award for Innovation.
How findmypast.co.uk has grown
Since our launch we have grown substantially and we now offer an extensive collection of family history records. Findmypast.co.uk offers:

- The most complete online index of BMDs (1837-2006)
- Parish records for baptisms, marriages and burials dating from 1538
