Energy, Natural Resources, and the
Environment
James L.
Sweeney, Co-Director, Lawrence H. Goulder, Co-Director
This program conducts research in three areas of energy and the environment: environmental consequences of economic activity associated with energy production and use; the restructuring or deregulation of energy markets, particularly electricity markets; and the use of economic instruments to control environmental harms.
Recent research culminated in a conference jointly sponsored by SIEPR and the Hoover Institution. The work was published in a book titled The California Electricity Crisis.
