Windsor native Ray Grassi, a defenceman with the Canadian sledge hockey team for seven years, and teammate Derek Whitson had the Wings watching with fascination as they maneuvered their sleds around the Joe Louis Arena ice surface on Wednesday.
 
Hockey Canada announced Monday that its 15-man roster for the 2010 Paralympics in Vancouver features 13 players that captured the gold medal at the 2006 Paralympics in Turin, Italy. Among the players returning are captain Jean Labonte of Hull, Que., and alternate captains Greg Westlake of Oakville, Ont., and Brad Bowden of Orton, Ont.

Canada had won the first two editions of the World Sledge Hockey Challenge, taking gold at the 2007 event in Kelowna, B.C., and the 2008 tournament in Charlottetown.
