(07-04) 15:25 PDT San Francisco -- San Francisco police are looking for three men who reportedly beat and repeatedly stabbed a bicyclist early Sunday morning.

The incident on the Embarcadero near Broadway at 12:30 a.m. left the victim with non-life-threatening injuries, said Officer Albie Esparza, a spokesperson for the San Francisco Police Department.

It's not clear why the victim was attacked by the three men, for whom police have no estimates on age, clothing, height or build.

Police believe the victim did not know the suspects, who fled on foot shortly after the incident.

Anyone with any information that may help the case is urged to call the San Francisco Police Department confidential Tip Line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a text message to tip411.
