Seasonal menu usually contains scallops and lamb dishes.
Last fall Sante became the only Sonoma Valley restaurant to earn a Michelin star, thanks to chef Andrew Cain. The restaurant, located inside the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn, has housed several concepts, but has been Sante since 2002. The room, which looks out over the pool, is more casual than the seasonally changing menu, which includes an eight-course feast for $95, a la carte selections, and a three-course menu for $49. Cain's menu may include such dishes as seared scallops with warm celery root and bacon slaw; and halibut with cod brandade, turnips, kohlrabi and Meyer lemon beurre blanc. Each month the restaurant hosts a popular winemaker's dinner featuring local wines.
Dinner 6-9:30 p.m. nightly.
