Making pizza can be artistry, and you don't have to go much farther than Santa Rosa to realize that. Chef-owner John Franchetti is a purist and crafts a spectacular puffy and crisp wood-fired pie with eight topping combinations. Yet the story doesn't end there. His partner Kevin Cronin handles the front of the house, gathering a friendly knowledgeable staff, paying attention to all the small details that belie its drab strip-mall address. The menu also includes excellent salads, salumi, fritto misto, meatballs and a daily main course special. However, no dessert is offered.
Specialties: Pizza Margherita; salumi; veal and pork meatballs; arugula salad with oven-roasted artichokes and Meyer lemon vinaigrette.
Lunch, dinner 11:00 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
