Tony Gulisano was one of the first high-profile chefs to open a modest, everyday restaurant. But he used the same principles of fresh organic foods that heâd used at higher-priced places. Since then he's opened branches in the Sunset, Danville and Lafayette, each offers a similar comforting menu from a fried egg sandwich to Thai-style noodles, burger on a baguette or a lamb burger with feta. The interior of each restaurant is slightly different, but they all have a casual sensibility where the flatware is wrapped in brown paper napkins and stuffed into a Hershey's syrup can.
Open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Sun.-Thurs., until 11 p.m. Fri.-Sat.
