Restaurant openings

June 13, 2010|By Paolo Lucchesi

Perry's: The third San Francisco location - and fourth overall - of Perry Butler's classic restaurant has opened in the atrium of the San Francisco Design Center. Like the others, it employs traditional American fare and checkered tablecloths; unlike its predecessors, this incarnation limits its hours to weekdays.

101 Henry Adams St. (between Alameda and Kansas), San Francisco; (415) 552-5697 or perryssf.com. Open weekdays for breakfast, lunch and happy hour until 6:30 p.m.

Fondue Cowboy: Owner Dave Mur has taken a 43-seat space on Folsom Street and turned it into a fondue restaurant decked out in a Spaghetti Western theme. Dipping diners can enjoy melted dishes like the savory beer-based spicy cheddar ($12) or the ginger oil-inflected milk chocolate ($10), all under portraits of Clint Eastwood.

1052 Folsom St. (between Sixth and Seventh streets), San Francisco; (415) 431-5100 or fonduecowboy.com. Dinner Tuesday-Sunday.

The Brick Yard: After two years of cobwebs, the former Bayside Bar space has reopened with new owners and a new name. Brick Yard's chef Aaron Little, who was last seen at Oakland's Lake Chalet, is now churning out a menu billed as health-minded comfort food.

1787 Union St. (near Octavia), San Francisco; (415) 400-4712 or brickyardsf.com. Lunch Friday-Sunday; dinner Tuesday-Sunday.
