Polish F-16D makes emergency landing

Today a Polish F-16D Block 52M+ that took off from Krzesiny airport in the outskirts of Poznań for a routine training flight made an emergency landing at at Warsaw's Okęcie airport.
On Saturday at 16.45h, two USAF F-16s made an emergency landing at Fukuoka AP, Japan due to engine trouble.
September 21, 2006, started off as a normal day for 77th Fighter Squadron F-16CJ pilots, Capt. Brian "Snake" Crum and Capt. Julie "Disco" Moore, but the three minutes that followed takeoff would be anything but ordinary.
USAF officials determined that the cause of the forest fire on the Warren Grove Training Range in New Jersey on May 15 was pilot error, committed when a pilot of an F-16C deployed flares at an altitude that allowed them to contact the range while still burning.
South Korean military officials this week were still investigating what caused a KF-16 jet to crash last week in the ocean, killing two South Korean air force pilots.
According to reports from F-16.net members a KF-16D crashed in the Yellow Sea off South Korea's west coast during a night training exercise and two pilots are presumed dead.
A U.S. F-16C block 50 from the 13th EFS deployed with the 332nd AEW crashed during takeoff at 16.55h from Balad Airbase on Sunday. Officials said the pilot was uninjured after ejecting.
On July 12th at 22:45h, a Turkish F-16D Block 50 crashed while it was trying to land at Balikesir Air Base (9nci AJÜ). Both crew safely ejected.

Like many Iraqi families, a traditional Air National Guardsman and F-16 pilot grew up in a farming family. He balanced his love of the farm and working as a commercial airline pilot with his love of the Air Force.
U.S. Central Air Command released a statement indicating the aircraft was lost during a close-air-support mission over Iraq at 00.27h local time.

F-15 and F-16 midair collision

An F-15C Eagle from Langley AFB, Virginia while on deployment to Eielson AFB collided in midair at 11.23h with an F-16C also on deployment from Nellis AFB, Nevada.
An unarmed missile fell off of a Vermont Air National Guard F-16 as it was taking off early Monday afternoon at Burlington International Airport.
An F-16 block 40 crashed in Konya province in central Turkey on Tuesday, but the pilot of the plane safely ejected before the crash, the semi-official Anatolian news agency reported.

Flare from F-16 ignites wildfire

A wildfire has started after an F-16 from the New Jersey ANG dropped a flare during a routine training sortie over the Warren Grove Gunnery Range in Ocean County. The resulting fire has forced thousands to flee the area.
