Awesome news!!! This is the one film I'm definately looking forward to this summer.

At first, I thought they were going to move this film into 2011, I was going to be like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO", but then when I read it was moved a week earlier, I was even happier! Cannot wait!

I want to see both. Hopefully this will improve my chances of getting to see both. I'm happy now to. I hope neither film tanks. They should both pull i a steady 20 million. That is just a guess but Piranha will have the whole Spring Break party vibe going for it. It'll attract a lot of people.

I just read on fangoria.com Piranha 3d is going direct to the Syfy channel..that has to say something about how this movie turned out.

@Spaulding069 well i'm not sure what you fangoria.com you're reading but its not there. Maybe you're crossing wires and confusing Mega Piranha for Piranha 3D and spreading misinformation.

Piranha 3D will pull in more money anyway, that's for sure. I want to see The Last Exorcism, but then I don't.

Ya this is a great move...don't open 2 horror flix on the same weekend...Thats what screwed H2 last year...The Final Destination and H2 on the same weekend should be a warning of what can happen...Can't Wait for Pirahna 3D...its gonna be corny bloody goodness >_<

Of Piranha opened last weekend it would have died like Splice did. Horor doesn't do well in the summer. They have to go up against big budget action and comedy drek. It is common knowledge people will pay money to see Transformers 3 than movies like Piranha 3d.

piranha 3d doesn't look to much better than megea piranha to me. It looks like a bunch of CGI and Jerry O'Connell just makes me sick. what's his name that directed it's only good movie was High Tension. The Last Exorcism looks about a hundred fuckin times better than that shit.

Gotta agree with Spaulding on this one: Pirahna 3D looks cheesier than shit. In 3D! No, but seriously, this really isn't the movie that's going to wash away the bad taste that Aja left in my mouth with that shitty Mirrors. I have no clue why he chose this stinker as his next project. I saw both trailers back to back, and I've gotta say my money's going to The Last Exorcism (even if I am getting more than a little tired of the mockumentary movies now). Prehistoric killer fish... yeah, I'm good, thanks.

nricexbox - Expendables is opening a week earlier on the 13th. Putting Piranha up against that would've been suicide.

wouldnt mind seeing both now. (never seen the original) i want to see last exorsism little bit more though. been awhile since seen a exorsism flick (i think last one i seen was emily rose).

or me it's a no brainer. DEFINITELY P3D!! i really have no interest in Roth's EXORCISM. if the Weinstein's didn't think they'd be able to do fairly (or even BETTER) well with P3D then they shouldn't have green lit it. KICK ASS (while i freaking LOVE that movie!) didn't do anything near what everyone thought it would but they moved P3D to "play it safe". now they are worried about EXORCISM?!
