Titan Airways is a British charter airline based at London Stansted Airport, United Kingdom. It operates contract and ad hoc passenger and freight charters throughout the world and short notice wet-lease charters for scheduled airlines. It provides VIP charters for clients like The Rolling Stones and British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown.

The company holds a United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority Type A Operating Licence, it is permitted to carry passengers, cargo and mail on aircraft with 20 or more seats.[1]

The airline started operations on 1 February 1988. It was subject to a management buy-out on February 1992 and is now owned by Gene Willson (67%) and venture capital firm 3i (33%). Titan Airways has been working on behalf of cruise ship companies such as Olsen Cruises; Princess Cruises and Cunard.

Titan Airways operates charter flights for British tour operators. The airline mainly flies from Birmingham, Bristol, Gatwick and Stansted airports to French and Swiss ski destinations but mainly Chambery and Lourdes in France.

Titan have asked Bae to remarket one of their current fleet of Bae146 aircraft.[3] The aircraft is being sold due to Titan requiring larger capacity aircraft.
