The realtime computer system detected and located three small earthquakes in the Long Valley caldera region since the last update at 12:00 PM on the 4th. All three events were located in the Sierra Nevada south of the caldera and had magnitudes of M<2.0.

A magnitude M=3.4 earthquake at 11:53 PM on September 5 occurred in the Sierra Nevada 1.5 miles east of Grinnell Lake (11 miles SW of Tom's Place). This earthquake was large enough to produce felt shaking in the area. It was one of 12 small earthquakes detected and located by the realtime computer system since the last update at 12:00 PM on the 5th. All were located in the Sierra Nevada block south of the caldera.

The realtime computer system detected just one small (M=2.0) earthquake in the Long Valley caldera region since the last update at 1:15 PM on the 6th. This earthquake was located in the Sierra Nevada 12 miles SW of Tom's Place.

The realtime computer system detected and located two small earthquakes in the Long Valley caldera region since the last update at 9:30 AM on the 7th. Both had magnitudes less than M=2.0 and both were located in the Sierra Nevada south of the caldera.

The realtime computer system detected and located three small earthquakes in the Long Valley caldera region since the last update at 6:40 AM on the 8th. All had magnitudes less than M=2.0 and all were located in the Sierra Nevada south of the caldera.

Updated at 8:15 AM (PDT) on Saturday, September 10, 2005:

The realtime computer system detected and located three small earthquakes in the Long Valley caldera region since the last update at 6:50 AM on the 9th. All had magnitudes less than M=2.0. Two were located in the Sierra Nevada south of the caldera and one was located in the south moat of the caldera just east of the airport.

The realtime computer system detected and located seven small earthquakes in the Long Valley caldera region since the last update at 8:15 AM on the 10th. Two had magnitudes larger than M=2.0. They were M=2.6 and M=2.4 earthquakes at 10:03 AM on the 10th and 1:39 AM on the 11th, respectively. The first was located 0.5 mile SW of Convict Lake and the second was located 1.2 miles SE of Convict Lake.
