Activity for the period November 21 - 27, 2005:

Updated at 8:00 AM, Monday, November 21, 2005:

The realtime computer system did not detect any earthquakes in the Long Valley region since the last update at 11:00 AM on November 20. Elsewhere in the region, however, a magnitude M=4.0 earthquake occurred on the eastern shore of Mono Lake ~23 km (14 miles) east-northeast of Lee Vining. The magnitude 4.0 was followed by two aftershocks registering magnitudes of M=2.0 and M=2.3. The main shock produced weak shaking in Lee Vining and Mammoth Lakes.

Updated at 8:41 AM, Tuesday, November 22, 2005:

The realtime computer system detected five earthquakes in the Long Valley region since the last update at 8:00 AM on November 21. All five events were located in the Sierra Nevada SW of Toms Place and had magnitudes of M<2.0.

Elsewhere in the region, the realtime system detected four aftershocks to the M=4.0 earthquake that occurred yesterday on the eastern shore of Mono Lake ~23 km (14 miles) east-northeast of Lee Vining. The largest aftershock had a magnitude of M=2.4. The system also located two magnitude M<2.0 events in the Volcanic Tableland southeast of Toms Place.
