Activity for the period June 13- June 19, 2005:

The realtime computer system detected and located twelve small earthquakes in the Long Valley area since the last update at 9:00 AM on the 10th. All twelve events were located to the south of the caldera in the Sierra Nevada. The largest event, a magnitude M=2.4, was located ~ 7 km (4 miles) south of the town of Mammoth Lakes.

Elsewhere in the region, two magnitude M=2.0 earthquakes occurred ~ 8-10 km (5-8 miles) south of Big Pine.

The realtime computer system detected and located nine small earthquakes in the Long Valley area since the last update at 9:00 AM on the 13th. All nine events were located to the south of the caldera in the Sierra Nevada. The largest event was a magnitude M=2.0.

The realtime computer system detected and located two magnitude M=1.1 earthquakes in the Long Valley area since the last update at 11:00 AM on the 14th. Both events were located to the south of the caldera in the Sierra Nevada.

Updated at 9:10 AM on Friday, June 17, 2005:

The realtime computer system detected and located four small earthquakes in the vicinity of Long Valley caldera since the last update at 9:00 AM on June 15. All were located in the Sierra Nevada beneath the east flank of Mt Aggie (8 miles west of Tom's Place). The largest was a M=2.0 earthquake at 12:23 PM on the 15th.

The realtime computer system detected and located two small earthquakes in the vicinity of Long Valley caldera since the last update at 9:10 AM on June 17. Both were located in the Sierra Nevada south of the caldera, and had magnitudes of M<2.0.

No report on June 19.
