KOXM Episode 212
Bungie’s Brian Jarrard and Chris Carney join us this week for a mammoth one-hour interview covering all things related to the Halo: Reach beta. What feedback are they taking from the beta? Will your Saved Films still work after the beta ends? What kind of DLC can we expect after the game is out? All of these topics — and many, MANY more — are covered in our in-depth interview.

I wish the reticule in halo reach is darker, cuase I cna’t see it at all, and no, I DO have good eye sight, my TV makes it SUPER light..and I can barely see, also I wish the loadouts werent there, it’s cheap to fly away during battle “oh but they can’t move much i nthe air” no…they actually can, also, almsot all the weapons suck…DMR? Sorry…bring back the BR…that’s what made ODST suck, and I don’t want another SMG “silenced” bullshit going on…Halo 1 was Beast, halo 3 was okay…ODST sucked, and Reach so far doesn’t seem too great…ima play modern Warfare 2, unless you kinda make Reach suck less, also freedom with vehicles…isnt’ there >_>

I think Halo Reach is AMAZING! Loadouts take a while to get used to but once you learn how to use them and what strengths and weaknesses each has, it is a blast! My personal favorite is the running loadout. When people try flying away, try spraying them with some needler ammo. Mason, you should really listen to Palette Swap Ninja’s parody song, “You Should Learn to Spell”!

I’ve had a great time with the beta. I love the changes. It still feels like Halo, but fresh at the same time. The loadouts are great. It gives people variety or the chance to play the role that they want.
The only slight tweak I would personally make would be ….. When you use the “Sprint”…. when you let go of LB…. you should stop sprinting. Instead of if being “Sticky”. It makes sense for “Camo”, but not so much for sprint.

Listen people…the beta was pretty good but not godly like your saying…they need to fix alot of things and atm the beta was moving halo toward a horrible noob direction so I can only hope they fix some stuff but it was a beta and a good one at that I guess

Yeah, I haven’t fully played the single player or the actual, finished multiplayer just a beta test that was to enhance the finished version but I’m already going to say that Reach sucks. Gee, I should be a reviewer, Ryan, any jobs open at OXM?

bungie fucked over the mlg community the competitive community in halo was so screwed over with this game…………….the only people that still play halo consistantly are the competitive gamers, halo 3 is what it is because of MLG honestly. bungie is going to lose so many gamers and halo players because of reach and how bad it is. it seems like they made reach to appeal to the Cod community just so they can make money, after 5 months after reach comes out i gauruntee halo will be dead this game is shit

Reach is awesome, actually fun to play not like MW2 (*spews*) and thats coming from someone who loved CoD4. And to the guy who said MLG community is screwed.. When the full game comes out, I’m sure there will be fully customizable game types, physics and damage ect. for it to be really competitive. Can’t wait to get my fat thumbs back on the thumb-sticks for this one!
