Michele Carlo (above) knew she had to get with the program if she was ever going to write her long-postponed memoir. “I joined a serious writing group — and I gave up cigarettes,” Carlo said, explaining how she finally got the ball rolling on her just-published first book, “Fish Out of Agua.”
