Focal Area Strategies

Currently, the GEF Secretariat is undertaking the development of strategies for GEF-5 (2010 - 1014). Technical Advisory Groups for the focal areas were formed and the groups are well under way in the development of strategies for GEF-5. Detailed information on the Technical Advisory Groups, including draft focal area strategies and comments received can be found below.
The following are the Focal Area Strategies and strategic programming documents for GEF-4 (2006 - 2010); these include strategies for the six focal areas of the GEF and for two cross-cutting areas (sustainable forest management and sound chemicals management).

NB: Focal Areas Strategies have replaced theOperational Programs.
