About Hope House

Hope House Children’s Hospices is the Daily Post’s charity of choice for 2010.

Over the next 12 months we will focus our community work on encouraging businesses, organisations and schools in the North Wales area to help raise funds for the charity.

Hope House cares for more than 320 terminally ill children and their families.

With two centres – Ty Gobaith in Conwy, North Wales which opened in 2004 and Hope House in Oswestry, Shropshire set up in 1995 – the service costs £4m a year and relies almost entirely on donations to continue their great work.

Hope House children's hospices - Hope House in Oswestry and Ty Gobaith in Conwy provide specialist nursing care in addition to practical and emotional support to terminally ill and life limited children and young people.

Both Hope House and Ty Gobaith offer flexible and wide ranging nursing care, not only at the hospices but also within the family home when needed.

Each member of the care team has received specialist training to ensure that every child receives the high quality care and support required.
