Q&A; with Scholar of the Year Jessica Vargas

Redshirt junior women’s basketball player Jessica Vargas was honored last week with the Scholar of the Year Award at the Academic Awards Convocation. The biochemistry major will graduate with a 4.0 GPA after making the Dean’s List for all seven of her semesters at LMU. After sitting out two of the last three seasons with injuries, Vargas will return to the Lions next season, while pursuing a Masters degree in education. Former Sports Editor Julia Pine sat down with Vargas to discuss her experiences both in the classroom, and on the court. Full story
