Traffic forecast for Aug. 20, 2010

All city parking rules are in effect today and tomorrow.

On Sunday, no parking and no standing any time rules remain in effect. On Monday, all city parking rules are in effect.

The Giants take on the Steelers at the New Meadowlands Stadium 7 p.m. Friday. Fans will flood the George Washington Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel, Route 3, Route 17 and the western spur of the New Jersey Turnpike.

The following streets will be closed Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Summer Streets:

- Centre St. from Brooklyn Bridge exit to Reade/Lafayette St.

- Lafayette St. from Reade St./Centre St. to Fourth Ave.

- Fourth Ave. from Lafayette to 15th Sts.

- Union Square East from 15th St. to 17th St.

- Park Ave. South from 17th St. to 32nd St.

- 72nd St. from Park Ave. to Fifth Ave.

- Stone St. from Hanover Square to Coenties Alley and Mill Lane from Stone St. to South William St. will be closed from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily through Nov. 30 for the Stone St. Pedestrian Mall.

The westbound Brooklyn Bridge exit to Centre St./Chambers St. will be closed Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a Summer Streets Event.

Sixth Ave. between 42nd and 56th Sts. will be closed Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the Ancient Order of Hibernians St. Festival.

In Queens, 46th St. between Queens Blvd. and Greenpoint Ave. will be closed Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the DOT weekend Walks Sunnyside Summer Streets.

Third Ave. between 23rd and 34th Sts. will be closed Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6p.m. for the Church of the Good Shepherd Street Fair.

Madison Ave. between 42nd and 57th Sts. will be closed Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the Daytop Madison Ave. Festival.

St. Nicholas Ave. between 182nd and 183rd Sts. will be closed Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the DOT Weekend Walks-Sundays on St. Nick.

The eastbound (New York-bound) Holland Tunnel will be closed Sunday from 3 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Mott St. between Spring and Prince Sts. will be closed Sunday, a.m. to 4 p.m.

Crosby St. between Howard and Grand Sts. will be closed Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
