Conan Goes Cable
Conan O'Brien will be back on screen in November. "In three months I've gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I'm headed to basic cable," the former Tonight Show host said in a statement. "My plan is working perfectly." Few details have been confirmed, but we do know that it will be a talk show, scheduled for 11 p.m. EST at least four nights a week. Conan's TBS move may seem strange now, but if he pulls it off, it will be a boost for both him and the network (for reasons that TIME's James Poniewozik explains here). NBC may be laughing now, but let's see how funny things seem in November.
