Museum
The museum features a walking, self-guided tour that takes approximately one hour to complete depending on how much time is spent at each exhibit.
As with any museum, the venue is constantly changing as new exhibits and displays are acquired. Since its inception, the museum has acquired many interesting artifacts.
Talladega Superspeedway Track Tours
The International Motorsports Hall of Fame and Museum offers a tour of the world-famous Talladega Superspeedway by way of an 18-seat ADA accessible van. The tour takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and tour guides will provide special insight into the track and its rich history.
Track tours will be given during the same hours as the Hall of Fame*. Tours are also available daily through Thursday during race week.
No tours will be given Friday-Sunday of Talladega Superspeedway race weekends. Tickets for the track tour may be purchased in conjunction with your Hall of Fame admission at a discounted price. These tickets may be purchased at the Hall of Fame Gift Shop.
*No track tours will be given if there is on-track testing going on that day. Please call (256) 362-5002 to see if track tours are available on a particular day.
Field Trips
We offer special museum tour rates to educational institutions. A field trip to the International Motorsports Hall of Fame is a great way for kids and adults to learn about the history of motorsports. Please call (256) 362-5002 for information about a possible field trip for your class, club, group, etc.
Gift Shop
Located in the main rotunda, the International Motorsports Hall of Fame Gift Shop is stocked with countless items that are essential to any race fan. From driver merchandise to Talladega Superspeedway gifts, the Gift Shop will have the racing gear you are looking for. Hours are the same as the International Motorsports Hall of Fame.
McCaig-Wellborn Research Library
One of the most popular places at the International Motorsports Hall of Fame is the McCaig-Wellborn Research Library. This library is a 3,000 square foot room that houses approximately 14,000 books/ periodicals, and more than 10,000 photos. Open only on weekdays (except during race week), this library is a must-visit for any race fan.
