Madden NFL 11: Demo Voting

EA asks: Which teams do you want in the Madden NFL 11 demo?

Madden fans will once again have their say when it comes to the rollout of Madden NFL 11 later this year. Back in February, EA Sports unveiled its voting feature that let fans vote for whom they want on the cover of the upcoming football game, with the choices being New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne, and Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen.

In that same vein, EA now has a poll up on its official Madden NFL 11 site asking fans which teams they would like to see featured in the Madden 11 demo. The choices are as follows:

- Saints vs. Colts
- Jets vs. Colts
- Vikings vs. Saints

One note to consider will be the status of Vikings' quarterback Brett Favre who, as of yet, has made no public decision over his potential return to Minnesota. If Favre hasn't made an announcement by the time the demo is released in late July (which is when the Madden 10 demo came out) and the Vikings/Saints are the teams of choice, we'll likely see Favre as the QB for the Madden 11 demo. Should Favre then retire, the demo might be the last time we see Number 4 take a snap from center in a video game. That's a lot of factors that would need to fall into place, but it's an interesting possibility.

Which matchup do you think should be in the Madden 11 demo?

The 2K series was weak. I think more than the bottom line lead to that series disappearing. Sure it was probably just money, but I didn't enjoy the games at all. All that 2KSports does right is NBA... Oh and choosing my boy Kesler for NHL 2K11

I agree with the previous posters that EA's monopoly on the NFL license has forced gamers that love football into fueling what has become a terrible product. To be honest, even if they didn't add a single "new" feature, I am more looking forward to improvements in the existing game that they have not corrected in years. Quarterbacks throwing a minimum of 2+ interceptions a game (sometimes 4-5), often with players leaping into the air that defy any reasonable physics. Defenders closing on their receiver when clearly beaten to intercept a pass, a poor excuse for AI. Buggy instant replay that is more a coin toss then anything real. Announcers that often bumble the play by play with comments that clearly make no sense. Online head to head that I feel is laggy and forget about co-op, which plays in a third person view for no reason. It's also great when the EA servers disconnect you (you can still chat with your opponent and are still on xbox live) and you basically have to quit your game. How many of you have been in a franchise playing on all-madden and after your QB throws his 4th int that is returned for a TD simply turned off the xbox in disgust? I love football, but I have hated Madden for years.

I could care less the only thing that matters to me is that 2Ksports get back the rights to make football games its sad with all the problems that EA has with Madden and its gameplay the only thing they can come up with is "CATCH TUNING" ITS PATHETIC cant wait the day 2KSPORTS make a real football game.

Rolasin, do you notice how the dolphins team was playing with a half team. They had Ronnie Brown, Will Allen, Chad Pennington, and Jason Ferguson out. Those are some key impact players on both sides of the ball. In addition I think Ricky Williams was out too (or at least he was injured the week before). So the Steelers were playing a rushing team with a third string running back be proud man and good luck with all those rape cases on your team.

I really hope the Jets get in the demo, seeing as I still find 2k5 to be greatly superior to anything 'Madden' the demo will probably be enough to satiate my curiosity in anything "new" they've added this year.

why not just give up on madden and concentrate on ncaa improvements, the madden games are so dull and lack quality. there is a useless features in madden...the facts before a game...serious...i really not interested in how many people watch the superbowl or consume food during a superbowl...i can find that info online. also i didnt buy madden, but i am sure ea added some features like they do into ncaa football like build a stadium or a team...just focus on the teams/schools that exist. I personally do not like building a team or stadium...to me it is pointless...tweak the game play...i like the hall of fame thing they offer...last madden i bought was with vince young on the cover...that one was decent, but just improve the gameplay and PLEASE for the LOVE of the GAME!!!! FIX!!!!! the Commentators. Madden is so dull...make the a.i. recognize what is going on in the play... and make the players on the field not just stand around...

Madden is garbage...they have yet to make a playable, fun game on "next gen"...they all have been junk. I don't see it getting better anytime soon.

Madden 11 will be exactly the same as 10.

Agreed. The lack of an NFL-licensed football sim competitor allows Electronic Arts to rest on its laurels, incorporating minor enhancements in year-to-year Madden releases.
