Educational and CSR activities and development of programs for classes

The operations of Capcom are guided by the core philosophy of serving as an "excitement development company". By developing and distributing games, we create a "culture of entertainment" and provide memorable experiences to people around the world. We are much more than a provider of games for children. Through the years, we have sold a diverse array of games that are sources of dreams, new ideas and experiences, and a means of communication. As a creator of game software, we are well aware of our social responsibility to assist in educating children and supporting the educational activities of teachers, parents and guardians.

Capcom receives many requests from schools to visit our offices and for Capcom personnel to hold classes at schools. We are pleased to accept many of these requests in order to give students information about potential career paths and increase their "game literacy".

We are determined to make an even greater social contribution by accurately targeting important issues concerning education. This is why we plan to welcome even more students to our offices and go to more schools to hold lessons. To accomplish this, we have developed a new lesson assistance program. We will use this program to establish even stronger lines of communication with the public and work even harder at fulfilling our responsibilities to society.

We want children to gain a thorough understanding of games and improve their literacy concerning video games. For this purpose, we supply instructors who provide advice while explaining ways to use these games properly and the benefits of games. To conduct these lessons, we receive assistance from Professor Akira Sakamoto, a professor at Ochanomizu University.
