Gen. McKinley dedicates F-16 to 125 FW

Gen. Craig McKinley, head of all the countries National Guard returned to his hometown of Jacksonville, to dedicate a new F-16 gate guardian to the 125th Fighter Wing at there headquarters at Jacksonville International Airport.
The DSCA notified US Congress of two possible Singapore Air Force pilot training programs. Singapore wishes to continue training in the Continental United States (CONUS).

Col. Robert Givens assumed command Tuesday of Kunsan Air Base's 8th Fighter Wing, which includes 15 squadrons and 2,600 airmen.
The Obama administration has proposed the possible pull out of all 40 F-16s from Misawa AB to the government of Japan. The discussion are supposed to have taken place back in April and have only now been released.

Morocco requests Support Equipment & Weapons

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) has notified Congress of a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Morocco for F-16 C/D Block 50/52 aircraft support equipment and weapons.
A crew chief stands ready by his F-16 Fighting Falcon on the flightline. Off in the distance, he sees the pilot with helmet and gear in hand. As the pilot approaches, the crew chief salutes, but is puzzled by the pilot's rank.
The 149th FW, Texas Air National Guard will send six F-16 jet fighters to particpate in a 10-day training exercise at the Czech Air Force Base in Caslav, central Bohemia, starting on September 7 according to the Czech Defence Ministry.
In what could be considered the Israeli version of Top Gun, Israeli Air Force fighter jet squadrons participated in a one-day competition to determine which one was superior.
F-16 pilots and maintainers from the United Arab Emirates Air Force are set to participate in their country's first Red Flag exercise at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Aug. 22 - Sept. 5.
Shaw Air Force Base Airmen joined volunteers of the South Carolina wing of the Civil Air Patrol in Exercise Fertile Keynote on August 11th.
One Aviano Airman received some exciting and surprising news recently when he was told of his selection as the 2008 U.S. Air Forces in Europe Fighter Aviator of the Year.
