Livingston County Justice Center Project
A dedication ceremony for the new Livingston County Judicial Center was held on March 27, 2009 in Smithland. A groundbreaking ceremony for the planned Livingston County Justice Center was held on August 2, 2007 in Smithland.
The Kentucky General Assembly approved the Livingston County project in 2005 and authorized its funding in 2006. The total project cost is $8.9 million for 28,950 square feet and is expected to be completed in October 2008. Construction will begin soon after the groundbreaking ceremony.
JRA Architects of Louisville designed the Livingston County Justice Center. B.H. Green & Son of Paducah is the general contractor for the project and Hilliard Lyons of Louisville is the financial agent.
