Older Student Studying

The Division of Continuing Studies Credit Programs is home to over 600 currently enrolled students. For the May 2008 graduation, 86 students completed their Bachelor of General Studies and/or Associate of Arts in General Studies. Many of these students also completed their Supervision Certificate!

The bachelor and associate degrees in General Studies are designed for "non-traditional" or adult students, though we have many "traditional" students in our program as well. The program is meant to be flexible for students who have families and other responsibilities outside of their college courses.

Continuing Studies works with several statewide facilities to offer distance education, including the Indiana College Network, IU Bloomington Distance Education, and county-based learning centers.

Through the learning centers, local high schools and area businesses, we offer several off-campus courses each fall and spring semester. These courses are offered at alternative times from the campus-based courses so that our students have more flexibility in their schedules without having to drive to campus as often.
