An F-16 from the 177th Fighter Wing made an emergency landing at Atlantic City International Airport causing it to shutdown for 2 hours.
New York ANGs Lt. Col. D. Scott Brenton made his final flight in an F-16 Tuesday, March 2 as the 174th FW prepared to say goodbye to the last of the planes they've operated for 20 years.
The U.S. government has awarded an initial $213 million to Lockheed Martin for long-lead tasks for the production of 20 new Advanced Block 52 F-16 aircraft for Egypt.
F-22 News                                                                 
Holloman AFB maintainers launched their F-22 Raptors into the near-cloudless skies over southern Nevada Feb. 22 kicking off Red Flag10-3, an advanced aerial combat exercise where air crews from the U.S. and other allied nations train in realistic aerial war scenarios.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Feb. 12, celebrating the opening of the completely renovated engine shop which includes more than 30,000 square feet of space and major upgrades.
The Air Force is spending hundreds of billions of dollars on two fighter jets that probably will never be used to support troops on the ground in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Air Force Secretary Michael Donley said Tuesday that the service’s plan to use the Pentagon’s marquee fighter jet, the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, will probably be delayed by two years and cost significantly more than initially expected.
The 33rd Fighter Wing marked another milestone as pilots received measurements for the first F-35 pilot equipment on February 25.
Piloted by Lockheed Martin F-35 Test Pilot Jeff Knowles, the third F-35B Lightning II short takeoff/vertical landing (STOVL) stealth fighter landed at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Md., today.
