    I'm a ps3 owner but that isn't stopping me from appreciating the work the Halo guys are putting into reach. Halo1 to 3 has been a arcadey fun online shooter for me(i owned xbox + 360 at one point) but it was way too basic and low res for my taste, then ODST came out and I played through it at a friends thinking this franchise is turning Halo into a joke. After watching this I like what the devs are trying to do with these games. But to slicedbread, it still has a little way to go before it hits Killzone level IMO. They'd need to expand on the MP a little bit and add something organic into the single player.

    EDIT: I do agree with you sliced on COD though, it seems like bungee is doing what COD is doing in reverse. Expanding and making the game more dynamic instead of flushing it out into the garbage COD is becoming.

    halo is the greatest franchise ever....and for all of those a-holes that say that halo sucks, this game will beat out any cod or kill zone game any day of the year...bungie's going out with a bang and sgt. johnson would be proud

    why do so many people hate Halo and people always compare MW2 to Halo3. MW2 a little better than halo 3 but it came out 2 years after so when reach comes out it will kick the **** out of MW2 simply because halo is always gonna beat COD because halo has vehicles and a better story cause COD4 and MW2 are the only ones that follow a story. Halo has an incredible story cause they have 5 halo games not counting Reach and then there is books and the new animated Halo Legends movie but i guess we will see which is better.

    Why do they always choose to go into third person for the animated melee actions? The same goes for games with cover systems, I've always pondered the idea of a 1st person cover system but I've never seen it come to fruition.

    Wow looks pretty cool, but I see third camera stealth takeouts are kinda unnecessary, I would like it much more if it was first person, seeing the purple blood splattering all over ur visor, and I would like the camera (which was a very deailed first person shooter camera.) to be like a game that was out at around the same time of Star Wars: Battlefront 2.

    the brutes are still there but not as much because the elites are a higher rank to them so there be more elites then brutes. but the brute are the only ones that can use gravity hammers so they prob be the most used brutes

    I responded to your post because you said that the failure rate on the 360 is the same as the Wii and the PS3. I was just pointing out that you were mistaken. I agree that the new 360's don't get as much RROD but they still break almost twice as much as the other consoles. As for me being a a fanboy, I own PS3, 360, and PC. My PS3 gets more playtime but I like the 360 as well. (Mass Effect 2) I don't have any 360 games on my profile because I didn't finish filling it out. I own about 50 PS3 games, 5 360 games, and a handful of PC games.

    Glad there holding to the original ideas that made this game so awesome in the first place. Hell thats how they got star wars fans and star trek fans to reboot. Almost makes me interested in halo agian, almost

    why didn't any of this happen with Halo 3. it's a flagship series! it shouldn't look inferior to other games on the console... so to hear that they're beefing up the graphics on the FIFTH game of the series is just weird. all of the games have always looked DATED compared to what else was on the consoles at the time. I remember how rough halo 2 looked. I also feel bad for bungie, i thought they were moving on to different IP's now. wasn't that one of the reasons for buying themselves out from microsofts shadow? i dunno. this all just seems so strange.

    I didn't mean change any of the gameplay in halo ce just fix the graphics, I'm not saying the graphics were bad, they were great, just sayin that I would want to see what it would look like if they made it like halo 3 or this up coming game. Just don't change any of the gameplay haha.

    This game is gonna be huge. The original Halo series was getting lame. The first one was great but is now outdated when it comes to graphics. The second Halo was ok/ iffy, but it didnt suck. Halo 3 was good, however, it was too short of a campaign. As for Halo 3: ODST, all it is is cut and paste, nothing felt new and the story wasn't that great. But now, this game looks like it's going to bring Halo back to life.

    I'm glad they don't do Master Chief anymore, this squad-based gameplay is really great, adds more fun to the gameplay, and let's not forget to love the new graphics

    A prequel can be a fantastic thing for a franchise but I always get so worried that they'll pull a George Lucas. The desire to add tons of cool new gadgets and weapons is always there but you can't really do it as, well, where are they in the games set in the future of the timeline?
    It's little things like the additional customisable aspects, it definitely adds to this game and the more human story but if Master Chief couldn't do it then why can these Spartans?
    Still, this is genuinely looking pretty special and I've not seen a leap in the quality of animation that big in a long while.

    Wow this one looks very well done. Now I'm sad that I traded in all my Halo games. I was so disappointed with ODST. These Spartans have better weapons and looks than Master Chief!

    Hopefully this time bungie won't dissapoint us with a money-making scheme like ODST, which was good but far to expensive for what it is. Seriously this could be Bungie's chance to redeem itself at the eyes of us halo fans.

    omg they are gonna make the game look better .....bout time is all I gotta say I can't wait I like the halo gameplay and if you don't like the game play play a different game instead of complaining there are plenty of other fps games to play so instead of crying about one game play one that fits you

    This will be by far the best Halo experience. Halo just lacked characters who actually have a character, and this game is gonna solve this problem. Man those dudes look so cool and fun. I also really like the idea of gigantic full scale battles human vs alien with lots of friendly npcs backing you up. But I do hope that they won't involve too much of the Flood. These zombie like creatures just aren't as much fun to fight against.

    MountainBear I'm suprised a person would ever think of such a thing. I wouldn't think a person would like to even remake Halo Combat Evolved. That game started it all and you can't remake a clasic and think that it would be as great as the original. Sure it is the same developers and they could just copy the old one(but still great) but it just would'nt be as much of a massive effect when it first came out.

    I felt like the with the last few halos, they have ventured away from the campaign and Im glad they are finally focusing on a strong campaign. I had to play the last two on a friends system but this game may finally drive me into purchasing a 360.
