It may be hard work, but it's a great experience, which is why so many volunteers come back each year. If you've only recently joined CAMRA or you've considered working at GBBF before, don't put if off any longer. Dates for next year's festival are 3-7 August - sign up forms will appear here after the new year.
By working at the festival you get to meet literally thousands of people who love beer and there's a great social side including the staff party on Saturday night.
CAMRA also puts you up in London for free (in halls of residence), or we can subsidise your hotel accomodation or provide subsidised taxis for London staff needing to get home at the end of each evening. There will also be a
free staff bar in the Volunteer Arms, as well as
subsidised food in the staff canteen.
We need electricians, foyer staff, fork lift truck drivers, stewards, first aiders, glasses stand, festival shop, handymen, finance stewards, festival games and of course bar staff.
Remember we provide free beer at the Volunteer Arms staff bar so you can relax with a pint in your hand without having to put it into your pocket first! This year the Staff Canteen will be located close to the Volunteer Arms. The staff canteen is also heavily subsidised.
We need your help to make GBBF a success again next year. We're all volunteers and we couldn't do it without you! It doesn't matter whether you've ever worked before at the festival as we are looking for people with enthusiasm who can donate some of their free time to the festival.
Please note you must be a member of CAMRA to work at the Festival. Members of EBCU are also welcome to work at GBBF.
