Basics
- How do I sign up for a TP account?
You can sign up for a TOKYOPOP account by clicking “QUICK JOIN,” located in the top right hand of the page, or by clicking here.
While we hope that you'll stay with us forever sometimes circumstances pop up and you may want to delete your TP account. Log in to TOKYOPOP.com. Use the "Jump to" menu to navigate to "Profile Edit." Scroll to the bottom of your profile and select "Cancel Account."

Manga Magazine is no longer published by TOKYOPOP. Sign up for the newsletter and check out free manga previews online to get the same news and entertainment formerly published in Manga Magazine.
While we can’t change it back we are listening to every complaint about the new site and taking steps toward making this site better. This new site is built on newer technology and a new database design that will allow us to add a tremendous amount of technology, features and fun that was just not possible with the old site. Not only will we address your concerns with this site but we’re going to make it better and more fun over time.

Really think it through before you contact us. Don’t just tell us the site “sucks” or “I hate it”. I mean you’re welcome to tell us these things but keep in mind that if you want it to be better, tell us how we can make it better or how we can make it so you don’t hate it. A pop is like a vote done by a user. The more “POP”s a piece of content has the more popular it is and the higher in the list of “Most Popped” it will be.

- What is a “clip”?
Clipping content is like book marking something. When you click “clip” the item is added to your scrapbook, which is located in your profile. You can access this area by click on your avatar located in the top right hand of the screen and then clicking “scrapbook” located on the left hand side.

“Most recent” is user content that’s been posted on the site recently. It constantly updates to show new content as you switch pages or reload the page you’re on.

“Hot” is content that is popular not only by the number of times it has been viewed but also by POPS.

Tags are one-word descriptors that you can assign to your content on TOKYOPOP.com to help you organize and allow others to find your stuff. Tags are like keywords, but they're chosen by you, and they do not form a hierarchy. You can assign as many tags to a piece of content as you like and rename or delete the tags later.

- How do I post on my blog?
To post on your blog click your avatar that’s located in the top right hand of the page to access your profile. Then click on “journal” located on the left hand side, click the “journal” tab that appears on the right hand side and then click “Post new”.

- How do I delete my blog entry?
To delete a blog entry click your avatar that’s located in the top right hand of the page to access your profile. Then click on “Blogs” located on the left hand side, then click on the blog entry you wish to delete and then click “delete”.

- Where can I read my blog?
To read your blog entries click your avatar that’s located in the top right hand of the page to access your profile. Then click on “Blogs” located on the left hand side.

- How do I read other peoples blogs?
To read other peoples blogs, you can use the search function and use different key words to find posts, or you can click on “life” and then “blogs” and look at the most recent and most popped blogs but clicking “more” on those sections.

Content
- How do I add content?To add content go to your profile, then click on “Portfolio” from the left hand side menu, select the type of content you want add from the tabbed menu that appears on the right, then click “post new”.

- How do I edit/delete my content?
To delete your content go to your profile, “Portfolio” from the left hand side menu, select the type of content you’re looking for from the right hand side tabbed menu that appears, click on the item you wish to edit/delete. Click either “edit” or “delete” from the options displayed under your content.

- How do I edit my profile?
To edit your profile click your avatar located at the top right hand of your screen after you log in. You will see your profile displayed and you should also see an “edit” button on the left hand side of your profile. Click it and then enter in the information you want to.

- How do I upload Illustrations?
Click on your avatar at the top right of the screen to get to your profile, then click “Portfolio” from the menu on the left hand side. From there select “Illustrations” from the tab on the right and then click “post new”, then you can upload an Illustration.

- How do I import/stop importing my deviant art into my Illustrations?
To have illustrations upload from your Deviant Art go to your profile and click on "illustrations" click the "import" button and enter your Deviant Art name and pass word.
To stop your Deviant Art form being imported into your illustrations go to your profile and click on "illustrations" click the "import" button, click "delete" next to the Deviant Art account you wish to stop importing from.

- How do I upload photos?
Click on your avatar at the top right of the screen to get to your profile, then click “Portfolio” from the menu on the left hand side. From there select “Photos” from the tab on the right and then click “post new”, then you can upload a Photo.

- Where’s my stuff and how do I view it?
All of the content you have is located in the Portfolio, Journal and Scrapbook section of your profile. Click on your avatar at the top right of the screen to get to your profile, then click “Portfolio” from the menu on the left hand side.

- How do I search content?
To search content on the site, type in a key word in the search box located under the menus. **We've temporarily taken down the search box, it'll be back up soon, we're working on making it better!**

Clans
- What’s a clan?
A clan is a community made by a user. Once a clan is made they can invite other users who they think have similar interests and after the users have joined they can post content to the clan. All views and POPs earned by content contributed by the clan members will count towards the clan’s totals. For instance, if a member joins a clan, that member must then “assign” their content to the clan before the clan will receive credit for views or POPS that content earns.

- How do I make a clan?
Click on your avatar at the top right of the screen to get to your profile, then click “Clans” which is located under your avatar on the left, then click “Create a New Clan” which is located on the right hand side. Enter in all of the information required and then click “save changes”.

- How do I mark my clan/clan image as adult only?
When creating a clan you will see a box in the "my info" tab underneath the heading "about my clan" check mark the box that reads "adult only" to make your clan only viewable by adults.
If your clan already exists and you want to mark it as adult only, go to your clans page, click "edit" by the clan message and then in the "my info" tab underneath the heading "about my clan" check mark the box that reads "adult only".
To mark your clan image as "adult only" when creating a clan you will see a box in the "my info" tab underneath the heading "clan logo" check mark the box that reads "adult only".
If your clan already exists and you want to mark your clan image as adult only, go to your clans page, click "edit" by the clan message and then in the "my info" tab underneath the heading "clan logo" check mark the box that reads "adult only".

- How do I add content to a clan?
When wanting to add content to a clan follow the steps listed in the “Content” section of this FAQ, at the bottom of all forms to add content there is a section labeled “Clan Tags” to add the content to one of your clans click the clans name so it is highlighted a dark blue. Holding the “ctrl” button when selecting clan names will enable you to highlight more then one.

Profile
- How do I edit my profile?
To edit your profile click your avatar located at the top right hand of your screen after you log in. You will see your profile displayed and you should also see an “edit” button on the left hand side of your profile. Click it and then enter in the information you want to.

- How do I change my avatar?
Click on your avatar at the top right of the screen to get to your profile, then click on “Portfolio” which is located on the left hand side. Click “post new” and upload your avatar. Then “add entry”, then click the button that says “Set as your avatar” If you wish to use an avatar that has already been created, click “art” from the list of selections on the grey menu a the top of the page, then select avatars. Click “More” on either the “most recent” or “most popped section to browse the avatars or use the search box to find avatars by keywords. Once you have found an avatar you like click on it and then use the button “Set as your avatar”.

- How do I add music to my profile?
Currently you can add html code to your profile in any of the fields provided. You can add music via these.

- How do I add sites to my profile?
To add websites to be listed in your profile, click on your avatar at the top right of the screen to get to your profile, then click on “Scrapbook” which is located on the left hand side. Then click “web sites” which appears on the right hand side and click “post new”. Put in the proper information and then select “add entry”. The link you added will be displayed in your profile in the “My sites” section.

To check your messages click on your avatar at the top right of the screen to get to your profile, then click on “Messages” which is located on the left hand side in red. Then click “messages” again, however use the link in grey and white that’s located on the right hand side.

To send messages to a user, click on their avatar to get to their profile. On the left hand side under their avatar click “Send Message”. Write your message and then click the button in red and white under the form “Send Message”.

When you go into your profile, any fan of yours that is online will have an “online now” icon below their avatar.

- Where can I find the release schedule for manga?
To view the schedule of manga, click on “Shop” from the grey menu at the top of the page. On the right hand side under the menu there is a box with the schedule, to view a more in depth schedule click on “more”. You can also view the schedule by clicking here.

- Where can I see a list of books?
To view manga go to shop and then click “more” on either “most recent” or “most popped” You can also see a full list of manga by clicking here, use the filter on the right hand side to select the alphabetical letter you wish to view.
