Sony Pictures Classics is an art-house division of Sony Pictures Entertainment founded in December 1991 (with Marcie Bloom) that distributes, produces and acquires independent films from the United States and around the world. Its co-presidents are Michael Barker and Tom Bernard. It has a history of making reasonable investments for small films, and getting a decent return.[1]
