Michelle Burford has worked as a Manhattan-based journalist for 10 years. She is a founding Senior Editor of "O, The Oprah Magazine," and she has contributed to publications such as "Physician," "Latina," "Weight Watchers," and "Essence." Her work as an international correspondent has sent her on many assignments around the world, including a month-long stay with a Moroccan family, a trip across the Sahara Desert on the back of a camel, and conversations with five presidents. Michelle is the co-author of "Let's Go: Greece," and she holds a master's degree in educational psychology from Harvard University.

Michelle completed her first mini triathalon five years ago. Since then, she has maintained a 50-pound weight loss by speed-walking and biking around New York and hitting the elliptical machine every morning.
