Managing Global Supply and Risk - book review

February 5, 2010

I admit it—I am a fan of Professor Robert Trent. Not just because Bob is a professor at one of my alma mater schools (Lehigh University). And, not just because Bob and I have successfully collaborated on a few topics, including a day-long seminar sponsored by The Iacocca Institute. One of the main reasons I respect Bob Trent is that he is an accomplished professor (and author) who worked in industry (Chrysler) before returning to academia. In other words, he’s actually held a “real job” and knows what it means to deal with practical issues.Bob’s latest contribution to our profession is titled “Managing Global Supply and Risk.” I received a complimentary review copy from the publisher. Well-written, and comprehensively documented, the book deals with three interrelated topics: international purchasing, global supply management, and global risk management.

If you are looking for your next book to read, give Bob Trent’s latest book a shot!
