Daily Track: Lucy Swann - "For Heaven's Sake"
Maybe it's the clock-like percussive precision. Perhaps the way the melody reveals itself as if peeling back the layers of an onion. Or the slow build to a glorious crescendo. But whatever it is, Norwegian Lucy Swann's "For Heaven's Sake" is a promising peak at her forthcoming full length debut due this spring. A bit of Sia quirk, a tad of Jesca Hoop twisty phrasing, a dab of Bat For Lashes richly layered production, "Heaven's Sake" is, well, just heavenly.
