Liam Finn + Eliza Jane - Champagne In Seashells

Pop/Rock - It's a matchup of musical lineages with word that Australian singer/songwriter Liam Finn will release Champagne In Seashells, a new five track EP, in early September. The new project is Finn's first studio recordings since his 2007 debut album I'll Be Lightning and features collaborations with his touring mate Eliza-Jane Barnes, the multi-instrumentalist and singer who also happens to be the daughter of legendary Aussie rocker Jimmy Barnes. Finn also has something of a musical pedigree being the son of Neil Finn (Crowded House, Split Enz). Not veering far from the bright and breezy melodic pop/rock of his debut, Champagne is served up with first single "Long Way To Go".

Finn, who recently wrapped up a tour supporting fan Eddie Vedder, heads back Down Under to begin work with his band (including Eliza-Jane) later this summer and recording his second full-length, an album he says is "a band record in the true sense of the word."
