Allie Moss - Passerby

As an integral member of Ingrid Michaelson's band, singer/songwriter Allie Moss knows something of the endearing, understated pop style that seems to embed itself in the "Grey's Anatomy" soundtack mindset. But lest anyone dismiss her folk/pop songs as overly precious or commercially calculated, it should also be noted that Moss' clear-eyed and well-crafted compositions also have substantial heft in the memorable melody category. We hear an infinite number of artists aiming for the same goal, but few hit the target as assuredly as Allie Moss.

A recent seven-track digital EP Passerby exhibits an easy-going appeal that suits her lighter-than-air vocals and spare, slightly jazzy folk/pop production with tracks such as the daydreamy "Days I Regret" and the whispered singsong of "Corner" managing to conjur images both pastorally picturesque and discretely confessional. Plans for a full-length are sketchy at this point, but with the promising Passerby we're hoping for more...and soon.

I love her songs and her voice! Ingrid Michaelson is still my favorite but i would love to hear any songs by Allie on Grey's Anatomy. That would be perfect!

Hope she'll come with Ingrid to Germany in November. :)
