Pop/Rock/Americana - Rowdy, raucous roadhouse folk/rock is 50 per cent louder than it needs to be and 50 percent more authentic than most of the poseur ramblings that currently pass for 21st century "Americana." Yonder Is the Clock, is the Catskills band The Felice Brothers at their most rubbed raw -- and most appealing. Drawing on Dylanesque drawl and "basement tape" production, Clock ticks by with a reserved but rough-edged romp, with tracks such as the eerily authentic "Penn Station" and darkly spacious "The Big Surprise" lying ready in a tightly wound crouch. Recommended.
