Antje Duvekot - The Near Demise of the High Wire Dancer

Folk/Pop - Boston based singer/songwriter Antje Duvekot's (Aunt-ya Du-va-kot) lovely melodies and understated, sandy voice have endeared her growing regional following, garnering numerous Boston Music Awards and knocking out critics and industry types alike. The Boston Globe has declared that her "provocative, dark-eyed ballads are becoming the talk of the folk world."

New album The Near Demise of the High Wire Dancer, streeting March 17, stretches out the Shawn Colvin-styled folk-based tracks with an array of supportive instruments that enhance but never get in the way, leaving Duvekot's honeyed vocals to stand front and center. Dancer collects seven brand new songs along with four past favorites including "Long Way" with guest John Gorka lending vocal harmony support.
