Thank you for your interest in WGN Radio Neediest Kids Fund, a fund of the McCormick Foundation, a 501c(3) organization. Originally conceived as a holiday drive, the fund now assists children and youth year-round by supporting non-profit agencies that feed hungry children and provide stay-in-school and job preparation programs for at-risk youth . Since 1992, the Neediest Kids Fund has granted more than $17 million to local non-profits.

The following are highlights of the fund:
- The WGN Radio Neediest Kids is a fund of the McCormick Foundation.
- As a fund of the McCormick Foundation, every donation to the Neediest Kids Fund is matched at 50 cents on the dollar. Additionally, 100% of every penny raised goes towards kids in need because WGN Radio and the Foundation cover all administrative and fundraising costs.
- Contributions to the Neediest Kids Fund are accepted throughout the year at the above address and online donation form.
- In July 2009 the Neediest Kids Fund, through the McCormick Foundation, distributed $400,000 in grants for Childhood Hunger and Youth Programs to 22 agencies. These grants helped agencies with their summer and after school child nutrition programs and youth programs that include stay-in-school programs and job preparation and training.
- WGN Radio and the McCormick Foundation are both deeply committed to honoring the intent of donors and ensuring that all monies raised are handled responsibly. Agencies applying for grants are thoroughly screened..
