GEOLOGIC BACKGROUND:

The Jordan Craters flows are the youngest flows of a large Quaternary basalt field in eastern Oregon. The most recent flows come from Coffeepot Crater, a large breached cinder cone. These flows show excellent examples of inflated lava.
