Education and Distance Learning

Federal Communications Commission
Through the Universal Service Program, the FCC helps provide affordable telecommunications services for schools and libraries, especially those in rural and economically disadvantaged areas. Program and application information is available on the FCC Web site.

Rural Utilities Service
Through loans and grants, the Rural Utilities Service's Distance Learning and Telemedicine Program supports the use of advanced telecommunications technologies to enhance learning opportunities for rural residents. National Telecommunications and Information Administration
