Well I'm finally back home from Paris, just woke up from a nice 10 hour sleep! Normally I feel all emo and depressed when I come back from an event but it wasn't so bad this time because our flight had 11 people sitting together (Me, Kristina, Caryl, EG counterstrike, EG.Whisper, EG manager Alex Garfield and the EG coverage guy Brian Dunn). That and my teammate Caryl is still at my house!

Our flight was delayed by 2 hours and 30 minutes but it was actually pretty fun...ended up playing a drinking game at the airport after the CS guys bought some Grey Goose! :X

Anyway, let me start with arriving. Caryl came to my house a couple of days before Paris so she could spend some extra time with me and Kristina (Caryl is PMS.Aeris and Kristina is PMS.Korini). We did a LOT of shopping and spent so much money on clothes for Paris! We arrived in Paris on July 3rd in the morning so we had 2 days to relax and go around before the competition. After getting lost in the airport and taking 30 mins to figure out how to get a taxi we finally got to our hotel! It was so nice meeting Tammy and Cynnie (PMS.furryfish and PMS.w4nderz)

We had no idea how to find our teammates or anyone from PMS because we didn't know their hotel room #'s and we couldn't call anyone either. By pure luck we found Athena (PMS owner) outside on a smoke break and she led us to everyone else.

We had such a problem doing anything at Paris because people barely speak English. For the most part at restaraunts we would just point at something on the menu and pray it wasn't bad! Instead of trying to talk we used a lot of broken and retarded sign language? which was pretty funny XD!

Although our dinner on saturday night was really nice. We went to a restaraunt called Chai 33 in Bercy village with Hanni, Levent and Fear. The menu was all in French but thanks to Kristina taking French in highschool for 6 years, she could translate the menu for us. The way Fear ordered his meal was priceless "Uh I'll get the duck, pasta and chocolate."

On Friday morning we all went off to the event for registration, ran into TeG in line and they all came and said hello to me :). Saturday was when the competition started, the group stage --- and it was crazy! We were stuck there playing for like over 5 hours because at first it took like 1 hour before people even started the matches. We took forever getting our headsets to work right with ventrilo and what not.

Our match against SGC was pretty good, for being SGC I expected them to slaughter us but I think we were decent considering we're pretty much a new team with close to no practice due to the time difference/lag issue. You could tell we had minimal practice because our execution and everything was so sloppy since our teamwork was still so new.

Playing against TeG was sooooooo fail, we got outpicked so HARD! The broodmother and Chen made us all QQ and it was a fast game. They could just push easily and we could't do anything about it. TeG performed really well, and their second place finish is impressive.

Meeting everyone was kind of disappointing. The guys from SK were really nice so I was happy because I didn't meet them before, otherwise we mostly just talked to EG and MYM who we've already met. I kind of wished the other teams that we see online all the time like SGC and +46 would talk more but they mostly stuck to themselves.

At least it was nice seeing other people! I enjoyed hanging around Rotterdam, Grubby, Cassandra, Noname and many others who were really sweet! Unfortunately I didn't get to meet fnatic.Archi...but that's mostly because I'm a wimp :3

So just like Chicago, there was a drinking get together on the last night in a hotel. Unfortunately, I seperated from my teammates to hang out with the other PMS girls and other people in my hotel. According to my teammates --- the DotA drinking gathering involved Levent being retardedly drunk and hitting on cynnie and tammy, pusher-street going on top of levent and wrestling him, fear locking himself in the bathroom and people drawing penises on pusher-street and EG.Whisper's leg.

Sadly, our flight back home was pretty early on the 7th. The flight was an hour longer, but I can't say that it bothered me ;)
