Coca-Cola Commits To Climate-Friendly Refrigeration Through Engagement With Greenpeace

ATLANTA, December 3, 2009 -- The Coca-Cola Company and its bottling partners today announced that 100 percent of their new vending machines and coolers will be hydrofluorocarbon-free (HFC-free) by 2015. The Company and its bottling partners have approximately 10 million coolers and vending machines in place today around the world, comprising the largest element of the Coca-Cola system's total climate impact.

The iconic Coca-Cola bottle has served as a focal point of celebration for Braves fans since its creation in 1997.

Coke Recycles the Past in a Precious Metal Masterpiece

London, June 22, 2009 -- Coca-Cola Great Britain unveils the world's biggest recycled artwork to mark Recycle Week. The Precious Metal project is the latest in a series of Coke initiatives to remind consumers of the benefits of recycling soft drink cans and bottles by illustrating that packaging is not just waste, but can have a second life through recycling.

The United Nations announced today that The Coca-Cola Company, the world's largest beverage company, has officially joined its corporate citizenship initiative, the UN Global Compact. Coca-Cola Chairman and Chief Executive Officer E. Neville Isdell informed Secretary-General Kofi Annan of the company's commitment to the Global Compact and its ten principles during a meeting at United Nations Headquarters.
