i liked DREAD. it's a small (compared to MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN) well acted, cool little film. KILL THEORY i also REALLY liked (i saw it about 8 months ago online and i highly recommend it). it's pretty suspenseful. and Agnes Bruckner is hot!

Dread has always been one of my favorite Barker stories... I always wanted to film it myself, mainly because of it's simple concept...

Dread was awesome and very Clive Barker-y. I'd totally go see it again if Horrorfest comes near my town.

It won't come to your town trust me. It'll be in pretty much 10 cities and be in like 2 theaters this year. This trailer does look pretty sweet though. I guess I'll have to wait for late March.

They've announced several theaters with a total of 11 cities, with more to be announced later. This trailer looks incredible. What movie is the scene with the guy's ears bleeding from?

americangods, the shots where the guy is tied to the heater thing? that's from DREAD (anyone who's read the book...that's the guy who's terrified of being deaf. i never read the story but that's his fear in the movie.)

I saw KILL THEORY online a while back and it was pretty decent, good to see it getting a theatrical run.

The trailers for these events are always awesome. But the movies are usually really lame.

I bought Kill Theory off a guy selling dvd's almost a year ago and I thought it was pretty good. The others that look like they have promise are Dread, Final Exam and The Hidden.

Meant to say The Final and Hidden.

All of these look great. Zombies of Mass Destruction looks like the weakest out of all of them. And it looks pretty entertaining. The graves seems like it could be a fun supernatural movie. Lake Mungo seems interesting and hopefully better than PA. Kill Theory seems interesting seems a lot like The Collector (Which I need to see). Then Hidden looks like a genuine thriller. The Final looks like a movie I'd love (Revenge flicks are always good in one way or another). The Reeds looks like a very good movie and the reviews seem to show. And Dread looks awesome. I can't wait hopefully it'll be the best fest. It seems to have the most variety. I've loved or liked every horrorfest movie excpt 2 or 3 every year. And I think those two will be ZMD and The Graves. Seeing as how they are at the bottom of my list. Lake Dead, Dying Breed, Slaughter, and The Broken are the only ones I haven't enjoyed. Wicked Little Things, Unrest, and unearthed weren't great but were fun, or interesting. So I have good hopes for these. I'm glad Kill Theory was replacing Scream of the Banshee it didn't sound to good.

The trailer looked really good for this year. I thought Dread was mediocre at best, never read the story. Kill Theory was pretty decent, and Lake Mungo was a little too slow and drawn out for my tastes. I'd like to see The Final, The Graves, and The Hidden.
