In addition, points could be awarded for slugging, members of the opposing team.

#Teams scoring touchdowns, were given the option--on the conversion--of kicking
for a single point or running the ball across the goal line or completing a
passing for two points.

@Defensive units were now awarded two points with the return of a fumble
or a blocked PAT kick.
