COMINGSOON.NET just put up an article about a new teaser poster from Screen Gems’ film adaptation of our favorite game from Namco, Tekken! Charles Stone(Drumline, Mr. 3000) is set to direct an epic story revolving around two childhood friends who enter a worldwide martial arts tournament all the while uncovering a mysterious secret involving the Tekken Corporation. The movie poster has a few words and states, “After the Great Terror Wars, governments fell… Seven corporations rose from the ashes to rule all men… Together they were known as The Iron Fist… The mightiest of which was…. TEKKEN.” Check out the teaser poster and article at the link below!

It will have little in common with original Tekken series….. LOL. A title, nothing more. Another low-budget movie meant to attract fans only because of a title.

@Tenshimitsu: yeah, I think so too.
If a real Tekken movie would come out, I would prefer it to be about the Tekken 2 story, and if it’s actually good,we could have a sequel that would involve some of the post Tekken 3 chars. Just my 2 cents.
Unfortunately, most movies made after games aren’t that good. They tend to want to replicate the game atmosphere, and don’t really seem like a movie at all, they don’t have any story depth (not saying that the games have:P) I’d rather not have a movie at all, than have a lame one just for the sake of it.

Not to mention the “teaser” looks so poor that I suspect the site “comingsoon dot net” of making it by themselves… >_> a good visitor attractor.

Just when I thought the live action movie would never come out they release another teaser. I guess its something all fighting game franchises go through.

Don’t worry, It’s a fake…..I hope….

Which reminds me, if production compaines are serious about making Tekken, then why don’t the just go CGI like Beowulf??? So that way fans don’t have to angry at casting directors or the actors portraying their favorite characters.

Read the inscription on the poster:
“Together they were known as The Iron Fist… The mightiest of which was…. TEKKEN.”

The guy who made it is very ignorant, showing us that it’s a fake. >_>

100m$$ is a still a low budget compare to some of those big casting movies… tekken will do have many expenses! 100m$ is not enough to portray big characters and pay artists and senseis` to choreo the game! (100m$) is just the down payment for then leading man in mission impossible 2… im sure you wont feel the 100m$ in this movie… i agree it should be in CG format, for us fans not to be insulted with our favorite characters…
